Follow the below mentioned simple steps of BKF file recovery process to repair BKF file data from corrupt BKF files using SysTools BKF Recovery software:

{STEP - 1}

First and foremost step is to open SysTools BKF Repair tool. Go to Start > Programs > SysTools BKF Repair > SysTools BKF Repair Opening screen will appear as shown below:

Click at the “Load” button on the toolbar and select the corrupt BKF file that you want to repair. This will help you to obtain the browsing option as shown in the following screenshot:

After selecting, click at the “Open" button. As you click open, the loading process will start as shown below:

After the completion of the loading process, you can see the preview the selected files as shown below, Click the “Extract” button on the toolbar of the above page.

As you click extract, you will be asked to choose a location where you want to save the recovered files, as shown below:

Browse a location where you want to save the recovered BKF content and then click the “OK" button. The recovered files and folders will start saving to your selected location.

{STEP - 7}

A new and advanced feature has been added in the updated version 5.1 of SysTools BKF Repair tool and that is of "Partial Scan". This feature is useful in recovering small amount of data from a large sized BKF file. For any large sized file, you can quickly do partial scan if you need only small amount of data from it.

For performing the function of Partial Scan, click the “Actions” menu on the toolbar of the software. Select "Partial Scan" option from the drop down menu as shown below: 

{STEP - 8}

After you click on Partial Scan, following window will appear:

Enter a value for Partial Scan. :  

What is this value? The value that you will enter is the percentage of data that will be extracted from the selected large sized BKF file. (For example – if you enter a value (say 25), then the software will recover only 25% of data from the selected large sized BKF file. This will save your precious time greatly.

{STEP - 9}

After Partial Scan completes, you can see the preview of selected files as shown in the following screenshot:

How to Load other BKF File? If you want to load another BKF file, you don’t need to start the process of BKF file recovery again from the very first step. Simply go to the screen shown below and then choose the BKF file, whose recovery has already been completed, from the left tree structure. Right click on it and select Close Backup file option. Doing this, your BKF file will get closed and then click on “Load” button again to load other BKF file in order to restore backup file.

How to Open the Recovered BKF Files? Navigate the location selected during the process to open the recovered BKF files which you have recovered using SysTools BKF Repair tool. Double click to open those files using their respective application.
